The ServSafe food handlers hygiene course is designed to engage and provoke learners to raise the bar on their personal and professional developmental goals. Taught in a stimulating way, it involves topics such as keeping food safe, food allergens, food safety management systems, integrated pest management and food safety regulations & standards internationally.
Learners will be able to develop their knowledge and skills in the following areas of work: Understand the Microworld (pathogens, bacteria, viruses etc). The Flow of Food (cross-contamination, time-temperature control) which includes Purchasing & Receiving:Storage: Preparation &Service Safe Facilities & Equipment
Learners who complete this course will be able to:
Provide safe food at the right temperature, taking into consideration food bournes illnesses, allergens, personal hygiene & contamination. As well as being able to identify pest, using & storing pesticides and understand and follow food safety regulations & standards (Governmental).
